Mimo's Baba with Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients

FOR THE BABA

Use the recipe for Arthur Schwartz's Baba that is in the Desserts section of the Recipe Box. When the cake has cooled, fill the center hole with sour cream or sweetened whipped cream.

FOR THE STRAWBERRY SAUCE

Use the recipe for the strawberry sauce from either the Pears with Chocolate recipe from the Fruits section of the Recipe Box or the Strawberry Amaretto Sauce from the Sauces section of the Box.

When you are ready to serve the baba, slice wedges and put on a dessert dish with a bit of the cream. Spoon a few tablespoons of strawberry sauce beside the cream. Dust the whole plate with confectioner's sugar for a festive presentation.
