Wine Me, Dine Me: Celebrate 25 years of 'Ciao Italia'

""Doable, authentic and good" is the philosophy and the promise behind the recipes in all of Mary Ann Esposito's now dozen cookbooks on the art of Italian cooking.

Through those books, she's brought us to Tuscany, through three generations of Italian cooks. And, of course, she's helped us become Italian cooks, if only for a night, with 30-minute recipes and an entire book dedicated to making delicious meals with just five ingredients.

But first, there was a TV show. The longest-running cooking series in television history.

Yes, long before there was a Rachael, Giada, Guy, Paula or Bobby, Mary Ann Esposito's "Ciao Italia" launched on New Hampshire Public Television back in 1989."
