Behind the Scenes of Ciao Italia
By: Gail Ciampa
CRANSTON — It takes a village to turn out a cooking show for television.
That’s what I saw when I sat in for a taping of “Ciao Italia,” the longest running one on TV.
Season 21 is now being broadcast on Public Broadcasting Stations including WSBE. But last month host Mary Ann Esposito and her crew were at the Park Lane studios filming the 22nd season, which won’t air until summer 2012. They shot 20 episodes in 10 days; one each morning and one each afternoon.
