The chow from "Ciao!"
Mary Ann Esposito is coming for the flowers but, not to worry, she’s bringing the food.
The host of “Ciao Italia!” public television’s longest continuously running cooking show, will be at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich on Saturday to enjoy the Rhododendron Festival and take to the stove to make scallops and fried tomatoes, beet-and-orange salad and the flanlike Italian dessert panna cotta.
Those who attend will see a cooking lesson, taste the bounty and may even get a chance to help mix it all up. “Every audience is different, so I play it by ear. But I usually pull people up who look like they would enjoy helping,” says Esposito in a telephone interview from her New Hampshire home. …

Mary Ann did a great job, as always, at Heritage! Well over 100 people filled the room where the show was taped May 21st. Afterwards, she signed copies of her recent book, “Ciao Italia: Five-Ingredient Favorites”, proceeds of which she donated to the museum in Sandwich. Sandwich… the perfect place to host a cooking demonstration! 🙂
