Grilled Spareribs with Ginger Spiced Barbeque Sauce
Forget a fork and use your fingers and a handful of napkins to enjoy these falling off the bone grilled spareribs. Prep the ribs the night before with salt and pepper being sure to evenly season them. Wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Ingredients
- 1 slab baby back pork ribs (between 8 and 13 ribs)
- salt
- coarse black pepper
- Barbecue Sauce ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 2 tbsp spicy mustard
- 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/3 cup sweet pickle juice
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1 tbsp honey
Directions
- Combine all the ingredients in a medium size saucepan and bring to a boil; reduce the heat to simmer and cook for about 5 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken. Set aside.
- Bring the ribs to room temperature when ready to grill.
- Preheat the grill to 325.F and add the ribs, close the top and cook them over indirect heat for 20 to 25 minutes before brushing them with the barbeque sauce and continue cooking for about 45 minutes or until a knife easily pierces the meat.
