Mascarpone Plum Sundae

Serves 4


  • 6 large purple plums, cut in half, pitted and cut intoinch thick slices
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Juice one lemon
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • Mint leaves to garnish


  1. Put the plum slices in a sauté pan with the sugar and salt and cook over medium heat until the plums exude their juice and they have softened and turned color. Stir in the lemon juice. Cool and set aside.
  2. Fill four dessert bowls or goblets with the plums and top each one with 1/4 cup of the mascarpone. Add a mint leaf for garnish.
