Don’t let mother nature get you down with the stubborn cold weather she insists on leaving with us now that spring is officially here. You can get a jump start now on your veggie garden and sow lettuce seeds indoors in grow pots under grow lights. Like magic, they will entertain you as the seedlings crash through the soil seem to grow overnight. Lettuce is a cool weather crop so when the seedlings are hardened off, they can go directly into the ground. Protect them with row covers that will let light and rain in and keep pests away. In no time your salad bowl will be filled with green goodness from the garden instead of limpid lettuce from the grocery store.
