Putting the Garden to Sleep

November 1, 2009

Amazingly, we have not had a killing frost as yet, but all good things must come to an end, and so it is with Guy’s garden. I pulled the last of the carrots, and Swiss chard and now we will clean all debris from the garden and give it a good tilling.

If you want to oversow with rye, now’s the time to do it, and then till it under in the spring.

Clean all your garden tools and pots and store them for next season.

Did you make a list of what did well and what did not? That is a good reference for next year.
