Holiday Cookie Central!
October 11, 2021

It might come as a surprise for you to know that I start my holiday baking on October 12, the traditional Columbus Day because that is when my mother and grandmothers started theirs. I try to make at least one type of cookie a week so that by the time the holidays are here, I could open a bakery!
Where do all these cookies go? To family, friends and neighbors. It helps that I have a huge extra freezer to accommodate so many and believe me when I tell you that we are often eating holiday cookies in July!
You can find many of the recipes for the cookies on my website, including this recipe for gingerbread men and women. Whether you make a few dozen or several hundred, they are sure to bring a smile to those who enjoy them.
Here are more of my favorite holiday cookies to bake ahead:
Rainbow Cookies
Bones of the Dead / Ossi ddi Morti
